One of my favorite Christian writers is Professor Theophilus, also known as J. Budziszewski. I just read his new book On the Meaning of Sex and it was beautiful.
I poked around on the internet for him even more and found an interview with him. (Just when I thought I couldn't unearth anything more!) It talks about his path from Baptist to liberal atheist to Anglican to Catholic.
All of his Professor Theophilus articles are written to a denomination-neutral crowd (the sponsor site is affiliated with Focus on the Family) sticking to subjects pertinent to college students: sex, relationships, meaning of college, abortion, postmodernism, how to know God exists, etc. They are written Socratic style, funny, and accessible.
His books Ask Me Anything 1 &2 are musts for teens and college students.
Also: he has his own Wikipedia page. How cool is that?
