I like ballads. I like long songs. I like songs that have more than two verses and a refrain.
The book I wrote Dec 2011 featured singing. The 1905 heroine needed timeless songs--hence, the ballads, some that I am familar with even if they were written in the 1800s.
As a searched the internet for something besides "Buffalo Gals," I found the best ballad site ever. It has each song as a separate link, and when clicked on--wallah!--the music plays so I can imagine how it sounds.
What puzzles me is when I poke around the author's other pages, they are boring, weird, or so poorly made I can't stand them. Well, maybe that is because they poured such energy into the music. Hurray for that.
