According this meme from the BBC, which found on the Happy Catholic, most people have only read 6 of the following 100 books. They are not all real classics, but all famous except for a few. I mean, "A Town Like Alice"? Yes, it got a TV show (haven't seen it) and yes I've read it, but I read tons of out-of-print books. I can hardly believe that it is that famous. Anyway, I'm supposed to bold the ones I've read and italicize the ones I started and didn't finish. Get ready to be impressed by English majors!

If I counted right, I read 29 of these. Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Hamlet are the only ones I read because they were assigned. A lot of these books on the list are either modern nastiness or classics that are really easy to read. People should try them.
