Dr. Seuss Goes to War

I think it's amazing that so few people know about Dr. Seuss' political cartoons. Now, thanks to an intrepid researcher, we do, in the amazing collection Dr. Seuss Goes to War. Right now the visual communications class I am in just finished studying comics. Stephen found this book on his own and I remembered it and brought it home. I think it is amazing how I either totally understand an editorial or don't, or sort of get it, or what I learn about the era from them. I also can't get used to serious messages in a Dr. Seuss style! Yeah, practically all of his books have a serious message at heart--Yertle the Turtle, The Butter Battle Book, Green Eggs and Ham, Horton Hears a Who--but kids don't notice. You can ignore them just for a funny story.
I've tried to get an example of his cartoons to upload here, but I can't. I think maybe it's our firewall? Or blogger? Or just an idiosyncrasy of technology? So here's the link at least.
